2.0 Introduction to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Over 10,000 years ago, the intergalactic sorceress, Rita Repulsa, was captured by Zordon, putting an end to her incessant greed for universal domination until the Saturday morning of August 28th, 1993; Fox Kids broadcasted "Day of the Dumpster," featuring her escape when two remarkably dimwitted and clearly Japanese astronauts mistakenly released her from her prison along with her henchmen: Goldar, her golden warrior. Finster, monster consultant and putty patrol supervisor. Baboo, mad scientist and Squatt, espionage. Together, forming the most abominable evil force of our galaxy with Earth as their prime target.

Aware of these dire circumstances, Zordon commands his automaton, Alpha 5, to summons five ordinary teenagers, Jason (martial arts expert), Zack (hip-hop dancer), Billy (scientist and inventor), Kimberly (gymnast) and Trini (kung fu trainee, female-rights activist) to form the powerful superhero team known to one and all as the Power Rangers out the city of Angel Grove populated by 376,000 people. Given access to the special powers contained within the ancient power coins, they can simply draw their power morphers and call out the name of the dinosaur on their coin to meld with the essence of the morphing grid containing the spirits of the ancient morphing masters [conveniently expertly-trained martial-artists].

When Rita uses her magic wand to command her monsters to grow to the size of a high-rise building, the Power Rangers can call upon the power of their tall fighting dinosaur machines known as Zords given life by their power crystals to continue the battle.

Jason (Austin St. John), the Red Ranger commanded the powerful and leading
DinoZord: Tyrannosaurus.

Zack (Walter Jones), the Black Ranger commanded the mighty Mastodon.

Billy (David Yost), the Blue Ranger commands the long-range and high-speed
Triceritops.

Kimberly (Amy Jo Johnson), the Pink Ranger commands the airborne
Pterodactyl.

Trini (Thuy Trang), the Yellow Ranger commanded the strong and fast
Sabertoothed-Tiger.

Together, they combine into the mighty robot known as MegaZord. And together, with the assistance of the Power Sword, they can destroy Rita's Monster of the Day.
