AMY’S™ ASTRONOMY WORKSHOP
Question: Which star always appears in the same place at night in the sky?
Answer: The North Star or Polar Star always appears in the same place high in the norther sky. The reason for this is that the North Star is directly above the North Pole, the Earth’s rotational axis. Because of its constant location, the North Star has long been used by sailors to navigate at sea.
