  • Tommy, Rocky, and Adam trained with Coach Daniels for the upcoming national championship, a martial arts competition which the guys had to win for their charity, the Little Angel's Haven, to receive the prize money to avoid closing down.
  • Coach Daniels was yelling at Rocky to focus, and Tommy and Rocky both seemed stressed out.
  • Rocky was angry after he'd missed Adam with a kick, and when the coach had him spinning heel kick a target in his hand, Rocky spun through the air and crashed onto the floor at the coach's feet.
  • The coach told the seemingly furious Rocky that he was trying too hard.
  • As Adam and Tommy later leaned up against the ropes, exhausted, Adam suggested to Rocky that maybe they really were trying to hard; Rocky replied that maybe they weren't trying hard enough, at which point he tried to kick a target in the coach's hand but ended up flying out of the ring and crashing onto his back on the ground below, injuring his back.

    Warren

  • Justin, driving a blue racer named True Blue, raced against Warren, driving a black racer named Mean Machine, in a trial race for a soapbox derby that was the next day; Warren made Justin crash into a straw wall and ruin his racer.
  • Warren told Justin he didn't fit in, calling him an egghead.
  • The next day, before the derby, Elgar planted a defective detonator on the back of Mean Machine.
  • When he learned that giant Porto was attacking, Justin told Warren there was something he needed to do and then rushed off with the other teens, but Warren just thought Justin had chickened out.
  • When the timer of the detonator hit zero, a small fireball exploded from the back of the racer, sending Mean Machine rolling out of control, the brake lever breaking off.
  • After the battle with Porto, Justin returned to the derby and managed to race ahead of the out-of-control Warren, and he stopped them both with his brake; it's very implausible that Justin would have been able to race ahead so quickly (or even at all), given Warren's earlier start time and speed boost from the detonator in his racer.
  • Warren thanked Justin and told him he owed him one.
  • Warren later apologized for what he'd said earlier, admitted he was just jealous of how smart Justin was, then suggested they work on their racers together sometime, since he could probably learn from Justin.

    Rob

  • Rob was in a fifties stunt show with Adam, in which he played a member of a gang called the Bad Dogs; when his character wooed the girlfriend of Tony, a member of another gang called the Wild Cats, the two gangs got in a fight.
  • Rob looked exactly like Bobby from 542-RivR; both guys' names were variants of Robert.
  • The Wild Cat actors, playing the losing side in the fifties show, compained that the other group had gotten to win last time in the Wild West show, but Rob matter-of-factly said that was they way it was in the script.
  • Rob looked sad or sympathetic when Tanya called it a day out of frustration over the actors' bickering.
  • Rob drove a blue fifties Chevrolet.
  • Tony challenged Rob to settle their dispute the old-fashioned way: a drag race at Angels' Bluff; the first person that turned away from the cliff had to lose in the stunt show; Rob accepted, ignoring Adam's warning to the guys about the illegality and danger of the race and his reminder to work together rather than try to win.
  • Rob and the Wild Cats later laughed at the Bad Dogs as they walked past the Wild Cats to go to their own car.
  • As the cars approached the cliff during the race, chimps Bulk and Skull, stowing away in the cars, simultaneously covered the eyes of Tony and Rob for no apparent reason, causing both cars to go off the cliff; fortunately, the Turbo Megazord arrived just in time to catch the cars.
  • Their cars soon back on the cliff as Adam, Tanya, and the crowd ran up, Rob and Tony realized the error of their ways and apologized to each other, agreeing to be friends.

  • Tony was in a fifties stunt show in which he played a member of a gang called the Wild Cats; when his character's girlfriend was wooed by a member of another gang, the Bad Dogs, the two gangs got in a fight.
  • Maria was the name of both the character of the girlfriend and the actress who played her, and she was really Tony's girlfriend.
  • The Wild Cat actors, playing the losing side in the fifties show, compained that the other group had gotten to win last time in the Wild West show.
  • Tony drove a red fifties Chevrolet.
  • As the drag race began, Tony declared, "This one's for you, Maria!"
  • As the cars approached the cliff, chimps Bulk and Skull, stowing away in the cars, simultaneously covered the eyes of Tony and Rob for no apparent reason, causing both cars to go off the cliff; fortunately, the Turbo Megazord arrived just in time to catch the cars.
  • Tony watched as the Green Turbo Ranger teleported into Rob's car, and when Green Ranger threw Rob's fuzzy dice (which secretly had a detonator inside) out the window into the canyon below, Tony yelled, "Hey!"; the detonator then exploded far below.
  • Their cars soon back on the cliff as Adam, Tanya, and the crowd ran up, Rob and Tony realized the error of their ways and apologized to each other, agreeing to be friends.

  • Mr. Peabody was in charge of props backstage at the Egyptian stunt show at the Angel Grove Amusement Park; he made Adam sign for the staff prop he'd made before he took it home to touch up its paint.
  • Mr. Peabody looked quite similar to General Norquist of NASADA.
  • Mr. Peabody was shocked when the writing on the newspaper he was reading suddenly turned into hieroglyphics, secretly due to the magic within the Pharaoh's staff which Adam had inadvertantly taken.
  • Mr. Peabody came to the Juice Bar to give Adam his actual staff prop, which he'd never taken.
  • When he returned to the stunt show set, Mr. Peabody was surprised to find the teens there (not knowing they'd teleported there to search for a detonator).
  • Mr. Peabody knew each and every prop in the show, and the teens helped him take inventory by presenting props, and he would tell them what its number was, as they were looking for an object that didn't belong in their secret search for a detonator.
  • After the Rangers had destroyed giant Pharaoh, Mr. Peabody was holding the pyramid-shaped detonator when the Rangers returned, and when surprised by the Rangers, he threw the detonator up in the air, and a green blast from Adam's Thunder Cannon made it explode in a small burst of sparks.
  • Morphed Justin spoke in Mr. Peabody's presence, but he didn't make any particular reaction to the Blue Ranger's childlike voice.
  • Morphed Tommy called Green Ranger "Adam" in Mr. Peabody's presence, but Mr. Peabody then told the Rangers that Adam wouldn't like that they'd destroyed what Adam had been looking for to take home.

  • Madame DuBois, head of the ballet company, brushed Myrtle off and was very impressed by Kat's fresh approach at the performance; she gave Kat the lead role of Clara.
  • Kat wore her communicator during her performance as Clara in the Nutcracker.
  • After the performance, Madame DuBois told Kat that it was the finest performance she'd seen in a long time, and that she should be very proud of the style and grace that was all her own.

  • Madame DuBois, head of the ballet company, brushed Myrtle off and was very impressed by Kat's fresh approach at the performance.
  • Myrtle made a comment to Kat about her "build," saying that next year Kat might be in better shape.
  • Myrtle lost the lead role to Kat, after which she told Kat she'd make a lovely Clara, if not a little bigger than most.
  • Myrtle ended up playing an animal in the ballet.

  • As Justin took a science test in Miss Appleby's class, two older kids named Reggie and Junior wanted to cheat off Justin's test, but he told them to do their own work.
  • For conversing during the test, Miss Appleby made the three wait in the hall until the test was over.
  • Reggie was close to beating Justin up when Justin told them to try studying.
  • Justin was later leaning against the stairs in the hallway as the fire alarm was going off; after two firemen had said it was a false alarm, Justin reluctantly told Miss Appleby that Reggie and Junior had pulled the fire alarm.
  • Reggie and Junior, just having gotten detention, later confronted Justin in the hallway, knowing that Justin had told on them.
  • When the fire alarm went off and distracted Reggie and Justin, Kat, Miss Appleby's student teacher, asked the two bullies what they were doing, and they played innocent.
  • Reggie and Junior later confronted Justin at the park while Justin was searching for a detonator.
  • Justin tried to walk away, but Reggie and Junior chased him, then Reggie knocked down Justin's bookbag and shoved him into a picnic table, then tried to punch him; Justin dodged the punch and pinned Reggie to the table and held back his left fist to punch Reggie as Reggie and Junior were both stunned, waiting for him to make a move, but he simply told them he didn't want to fight and ran off.
  • Looking up at the three Justin was in, right above him, Reggie asked, "Hey, brain, you hidin' up there? You can't stay up in that tree forever."; Justin could only be seen as a dark area behind the leaves of the tree; Reggie then called out, "Come out, come out, wherever you are!"
  • In the tree, a small branch beneath Justin's foot broke, and as Justin cried out in surprise mid-fall, he teleported in a bright blue flash of light directly above Reggie.
  • As the branch landed by Reggie, he called Junior over and inspected the branch, looked up, and then frustratedly patted Junior's stomach with the back of his hand, telling him, "Let's go."
  • The next day when they were alone in the hall, Reggie planned to give Justin a five-minute head start before chasing him down to fight; when Justin refused to fight or run, Reggie mockingly asked if Justin was going to tell his parents on him; he suddenly mellowed out when Justin told him his parents weren't around to tell.
  • Reggie said he hadn't seen his dad in two years, and they both agreed that the situation stank; as they sat on the steps together, Justin told Reggie he hadn't wanted to get Reggie in trouble yesterday, but he couldn't tell a lie, and Reggie admitted he probably would've done the same thing.
  • Justin offered to help Reggie study for the makeup test next week, and Reggie, now friendly, agreed.

  • In numerous PRT public service announcements, Reggie was a repeated drug pusher.

  • At the pizza parlor later, Nico stuck up for Justin when another kid called him a nerd for being smart and attending high school.
  • Justin and Nico both loved the games with the claws that dropped down to grab prizes.
  • As Justin was leaving, Nico invited Justin to come play next weekend.

    523-PhPh

  • Nico (wearing orange) played soccer in the park with Justin.
  • Retrieving the ball after Justin's wild kick, Nico saw the Phantom Ranger's ship in the woods.
  • Some time later, Nico showed Justin the ship after having him triple-duty promise not to tell anyone.
  • Later that day, Nico was eating popcorn in the woods while watching the hovering ship with binoculars when Justin returned.
  • Nico was waiting for the aliens who owned the ship, planning to give them a package of "Space Cookies."
  • Some time after they'd been studying the Phantom Ranger in the Power Chamber with Justin, the four teens were worried about Justin after Carlos had used the payphone outside the Youth Center to call Nico's mom; she'd told him that Nico had gone to play soccer, prompting T.J. to have the teens check on Justin with their communicators.
  • Nico heard Justin's communicator go off, and Justin said it was his watch and that Nico had to go home now, but Nico said he had permission to stay out late.
  • When Piranhatron swarmed around the two kids, Nico shrieked but then offered them his cookies.
  • After knocking down the Piranhatron holding him, catching Nico's attention, Justin shrugged to Nico and told him the creature had tripped.
  • Justin had Nico run while he stayed to fight Piranhatrons.
  • Nico was soon captured again by Piranhatrons and Rygog and brought back to the ship's area.
  • Invisi-warped Phantom Ranger rushed through the villains and carried Nico away; after he'd set Nico down, Phantom became fully visible, startling Nico.
  • Pink Ranger called Nico by name.
  • When the Rangers were pleased to discover that Phantom's ship hadn't been destroyed, morphed Justin exclaimed, "Yeah!" causing Nico to look at Blue Ranger suspiciously; Justin then corrected himself by saying, "I mean, good job," but immediately after Justin's, "Yeah," T.J. had also said, "Yeah!"
  • Nico watched as Red Ranger thanked the mysterious Phantom, then as the Phantom got into his ship and flew away.

    524-VAct

  • T.J., Carlos, Justin, and Nico played basketball with some other guys when everyone but the Ranger teens vanished, thanks to Translucitor.
  • With the Ranger teens apparently still visible to all the invisible people, Justin exclaimed, "Divatox!" and then pulled a Turbo Navigator out of his bookbag before the bags vanished.
  • None of the kids at soccer but Justin would believe that the Power Rangers had saved Nico.

  • When Crash and the Creeps auditioned with their "Confusion" song (click here to listen), Cassie and Vicki loved them and wished they could accept them all, but Crash made the girls accept the whole band or none of them.
  • Vicki played bass, but she stepped out and said she'd write the songs and maybe play now and then; Crash agreed to Vicki's writing the songs and their playing them.
  • Another day, "Cassie with Crash and the Creeps"' first performance was at the Youth Center, and everyone loved "Confusion," making Vicki jealous.
  • Crash had rejected Vicki's new song.
  • Another day, Crash, handing out flyers at the resource center for Crash and the Creeps' upcoming broadcast from Angel Grove Lake on Friday, told Cassie that Vicki was out.
  • In the Juice Bar another day after Crash and the Creeps had been destroyed by the Rangers, Cassie apologized for forgetting about Vicki with the song's success, and Vicki admitted she'd just been jealous of their success.
  • It's unknown what was public knowledge concerning Crash and the Creeps, but people had heard Vicki and Cassie were now short on band members.

  • At school, Owen still blamed Carlos when Carlos tried talking with him; Carlos, however, still thought the move was legal since he didn't think he'd tripped Owen.
  • Later, Owen was surprised to learn that Carlos had quit the team.
  • Owen explained to Carlos that Carlos hadn't touched him; rather, he'd tripped over his own feet and wanted to blame somebody.

  • When T.J. and Carlos stopped by, Heath taught T.J. how to hit his pitch.
  • Heath had T.J. promise not to tell anyone how to hit his pitch.
  • Another day, T.J. hadn't told anyone how to hit Heath's pitch, but Heath gave in and showed Ricky, one of T.J.'s teammates, how to hit it.
