  • To go to Earth to make the planet Rita's, Goldar attacked Angel Grove, the city near which the Command Center was located and from which the five chosen Ranger teens originated; with almost no exceptions, all future non-planetwide villain attacks on Earth up through 643-CTD2 would be directed at Angel Grove.

  • According to Zordon, the battle between good and evil began millions of years ago.

  • To distract the Rangers from the Green Candle, the giant Cyclops monster attacked a city near Angel Grove; this was the only time that a non-planetwide attack on Earth was ever directed somewhere other than Angel Grove or just outside Angel Grove prior to 643-CTD2.

  • After Zedd had scolded Rita for being defeated by the Power Rangers, who were, as he said, "mere children"; he then scoffed at her daring to call herself an empress of evil.

  • Wanting a new queen, Zedd told Goldar to lure Kimberly to the "dark side."

  • Zedd planned to return Tommy to the "dark side" to become his evil heir.

  • Planning to create three evil warriors, Zedd told Goldar to lure Rocky, Adam, and Aisha to the "dark side."
  • Zordon said the results could be disastrous if they allowed Rocky, Adam, and Aisha to be turned to the "dark side."

  • Goldar told Adam to cross over to the "evil side."

  • Fact, a robotic drone on the bridge of Count Dregon's ship, called Dregon the "lord of evil."

  • Finster called Rita the empress of evil.

  • Outside Santa's workshop, Rito tried to shoot his "laser" from his sword, but it only fizzled with red energy, as, like the teens, he was powerless (except for teleportation) near Santa's workshop due to the Earth's polarity and a crosscurrent of holiday magic.

  • In a cavern somewhere beneath the surface of the moon, Master Vile, with blue and yellow energy snakes flowing from his right and left hands, respectively, called forth, "Forces darker than the farthest regions of the universe, hear my call! I command you, respond! (ground rumbles briefly) Powers of the deepest evil, come forth! I command it! (ground rumbles more, with more glowing red areas revealed by the quaking) I summon you! Might of the malevolent masters, appear before me and do my bidding!"; this was followed by more quaking and rocks falling, causing the moon palace to shake violently and lightning to strike around it.

  • Finster asked Zedd how it felt to be the ultimate evil power in the universe now that he'd beaten the Rangers.

  • King Mondo and Queen Machina had broken away from the United Alliance of Evil and had set out to invade this galaxy. (See also: "U.A.O.H.")

  • Boohoo the Clown appeared in the room of baby Joey (possibly in the house of Tommy or Kat) to put Joey under a volume-amplifying spell; if villains could enter homes, it's unknown why no villains attacked the Ranger teens in their sleep or at some other vulnerable moment at home.

  • Mondo liked the Varox which was hunting Gold Ranger and wanted to know where the bounty hunter had come from; Sprocket guessed he was from some second-rate evil empire.

  • Several centuries ago, Prince Gasket had fallen in love with Archerina, the daughter of King Mondo's mortal enemy King Aradon; the two had eloped, knowing that their fathers would never have accepted the marriage, but now that Mondo was gone, the couple had returned to rule the Machine Empire.

  • In response to Gasket's plan to conquer the Earth, Archerina pointed out that Earth was not an easy prize and asked him how he would succeed where so many had failed.

  • Rita told Mondo that they'd used to be afraid of him, but now he'd turned into an intergalactic joke.

  • According to Blue Senturion's estimated future from the year 2000, the universe's greatest evils would join forces to destroy the Earth and the entire universe, then divide its wealth; only one force stood in their way. (See "Millennium message" for more information.)

  • Mama D told Divatox that their family name had always been legendary among the other pirates in deepest space and that they had ruled supreme, until Divatox came along, whom they thought of as a wimp rather than a witch.

  • Rygog referred to Divatox as "the queen of evil."

  • Havoc addressed Divatox as the "queen of all evil," while previously, he'd only referred to her as a pirate queen and "queen pirate of the universe."

  • In an urgent message from Eltar, Zordon told the teens that Eltar was under attack; a visual showed massive explosions on a gray moon-like planet.
  • Zordon said that so far they had been able to resist their attackers' advances, and that though the teens might be tempted to come to their aid, they had to stay and protect the Earth.
  • Zordon began to warn the teens of something (perhaps Goldgoyle or Dark Specter), but his signal shorted out.
  • Probably no more than an hour later, Dimitria gave the Rangers grave news, that planet Eltar had fallen to evil forces; the teens were all quite concerned about Zordon and wanted to go help him, but Dimitria said they had to stay to defend the Earth from Divatox, so she and Blue Senturion were leaving to try to help Zordon.
  • Probably only minutes after Divatox had destroyed the Power Chamber, a flaming face streaked in from the sky while her forces were scouring the rubble for the Rangers.
  • Divatox wasn't familiar with the flaming face, who said he was a messenger from the Cimmerian planet; he told Divatox that Zordon had been captured and that she (calling her "Queen of Evil") would leave at once for the Cimmerian planet.
  • When Divatox replied that she'd just captured the Earth and wasn't going anywhere, the flaming head told her Dark Specter would not be happy; at the mention of Dark Specter's name, Divatox eeked and, with fake cheeriness, agreed to come immediately.

  • Present at Dark Specter's assembly of villains on the Cimmerian Planet following Zordon's capture were Rita and Lord Zedd (having brought Goldar, Finster, Zedd's Putties, and Tengas), King Mondo and Queen Machina (having brought brown and silver Cogs), Master Vile (having brought Globbor, who bore the Aquitian Ranger helmets), Divatox (having brought Elgar, Rygog, Porto, Piranhatrons, and a Putrapod), General Havoc (having brought no assistants), the new villainess Astronema (having brought Quantrons), and Red Space Ranger Andros disguised in a brown cloak.
  • Rita, laughing while walking with Zedd, accidentally bumped into Divatox, making the crowd of villains fall nervously silent.
  • After Divatox had insultingly bragged about destroying the Power Rangers, Rita nervously asked Zedd whether it was true that she'd really destroyed the Rangers, and he admitted that it was sort of the universal gossip.
  • After Astronema had caught a stray energy blast from Rita aimed at Divatox, then walked away with an attitude, Divatox, surprised, asked Elgar who she was, and Elgar replied, "That's Astronema. They say she'll be the new queen of evil," but Divatox planned otherwise.
  • Later, the villains sat at a long banquet table decoratively adorned with human skulls; most of the main villains sat at the table, while most of their henchmen stood behind them.
  • Pushing through the villains to be seated, Divatox called herself the queen of all evil.
  • Seated at the table were Mondo, Machina, Finster, Goldar, Rita, Zedd, Master Vile, Divatox, Elgar, a Putrapod (oddly enough), Astronema, General Havoc, and the cloaked Andros.
  • At the table were bowls of fruit and glasses of red liquid called "lava juice," as well as Zedd's favorite, snake souffle.
  • After Dark Specter had arrived and announced that he was draining Zordon's powers, Zedd called for a lava juice toast and toasted, "To the universe, a universe that belongs to the Dark Specter!"
  • After the toast, Divatox was insulted to notice that the cloaked stranger hadn't drunk any; Machina asked who he was, at which point Astronema stood and dramatically announced that he was a spy, and all of the villains were outraged.
  • Each of the villains, including Master Vile, General Havoc, and King Mondo, was tense and worked up as the cloaked Red Ranger fended off attacks on the banquet table.
  • When Goldar ripped off the stranger's cloak and revealed him as the Red Space Ranger, all of the villains were shocked, despite his use of the Spiral Saber while cloaked; Dark Specter then ordered for him to be destroyed.

  • Later, T.J. planned for the teens to set a new course for the Cimmerian Planet if the shuttle couldn't make it to Eltar, but, having just been there, Andros knew the Cimmerian Planet was already abandoned by now.

  • Watching Andros on the abandoned KO-35 calling for his lost sister Karone (secretly Astronema), Ecliptor remarked, "So, you returned to your home planet. Sorry we had to destroy it!"

  • Preparing to test his invention which Astronema would call an Evilyzer, Professor Phenomenus explained that the device could give anything an attitude; after it had been used on a toy robot, the robot face contorted into a grimace, and it spoke threateningly to them, saying, "You dare to awaken me? (laughs) I'll teach you a lesson you won't soon forget!"
  • When the three fled into their RV, the toy drove off the table and flew into the RV after them.
  • As a Quantron flew after the Red and Yellow Rangers in a Velocifighter, the Evilyzer's energy beam struck the yellow Galaxy Glider, making it zip around out of control, and Ashley barely managed to hang onto it.
  • Andros pulled Ashley onto his glider, and hers spiraled away into space.
  • On the Megaship, DECA theorized that the ray had reversed the yellow Galaxy Glider's central ion disseminators, and Andros agreed, saying the ray could've changed the glider's programming from positive to negative; Carlos assumed that by "negative" he meant evil, and DECA said this was essentially correct.
  • During the Megazord battle with giant Destructipede and his team of monsters, a beam from a new, larger Evilyzer aboard the Dark Fortress washed over the Delta Megazord, turning it evil and breaking Andros's control over it.
  • Now evil, the Delta Megazord flew off and swooped over a city street, blasting buildings apart; it then landed and blasted at all the buildings around it.
  • When Andros ran screaming for the Delta Megazord to stop, it turned and shot at him, making a huge explosion near him on the rooftop where he was.
  • As the Delta Megazord beat on the Astro Megazord, Andros attempted ordering the Delta Megazord to stop, which it did after the second order; it then, however, suddenly aimed and fired again with blue pulses from its Gyro Blasters, catching the Rangers off-guard.
  • After the Delta Megazord had been bombarded for some time with a reverse-polarized beam, a beam of orange energy waves from the Astro Megazord, the Evilyzer finally shorted out, and the Delta Megazord was soon back on the Rangers' side.
  • Upon leaping onto her out-of-control evilyzed Galaxy Glider later in space, Ashley shot the reverse-polarized orange energy beam from her Astro Blaster at her glider, bringing it back under control.
  • In a field of tall plants, perhaps corn, Bulk, Skull, and the Professor took a break from their running from the evil toy after them; they pretended not to be afraid, but the toy drove up to them and laughed at the idea that they'd thought they could get rid of him that easily, and the three ran screaming in the direction from which they'd come.

  • Darkonda addressed Astronema as the Princess of Darkness.

  • Upon realizing Darkonda had kidnapped his sister, Andros secretly went to Onyx, a planet in a prohibited sector, where many different villains gathered for recreation in an Old West town setting.
  • Among the various monsters, mutants, and aliens on Onyx was an eclectic mix of monsters and henchmen which had been used or would be used by many of the main villains; see "Onyx" for a more detailed list of visitors.
  • When Skygantor took out five black keycards to bet with at a card game in the Onyx Tavern, the dealer yelled that they were worthless, but Darkonda carefully examined them with intrigue, asking where he'd gotten them.
  • Skygantor defensively told the dealer, "I stole them when we battled on Eltar!"; the dealer was unimpressed.
  • Skygantor added, "They were Zordon's! They must be worth something!" and Darkonda agreed, saying the keycards were priceless.
  • Spotting the Morpher on Andros's arm, Darkonda slashed at him, calling him Red Ranger, at which point the bar patrons began to get anxious, either from the mention of the Ranger, or merely from the fight breaking out.

  • Recalling the struggle on Onyx when interrogated by Astronema, Skygantor described the Red Ranger's presence and said that Darkonda had eventually discovered he was a Ranger in disguise.

  • After capturing the Rangers in a net in his lab on Dekata 5, Darkonda said now that he'd captured the Power Rangers, his army of Crocotoxes would soon conquer the Earth; looking into the vat of eggs, he said they were maturing as they spoke, and soon he would be the next ruler of the universe; with that kind of power, he said, the possibilities were endless.
  • Fighting Zhane, whom he knew was the Silver Ranger, Ecliptor said Zhane's destruction would make him a legend.

  • Dark Specter referred to Astronema as the princess of darkness; he would do so again in 627-AsTT.

  • When Astronema told Ecliptor that she thought her brother was still alive, he reminded her that she was the princess of evil, and she regained her evil persona.
  • Speaking privately with Dark Specter, Darkonda feared that Ecliptor had tarnished Astronema's evil spirit, saying, "You see, he has shown her caring. Caring and evil do not mix. It could be an explosive combination!"; Dark Specter hoped that Darkonda was wrong.

  • Ecliptor said he had been built evil, every cubic centimeter of him; Astronema, on the other hand, had been born, born to be good, and it had only been after years under his supervision that she had risen to become evil.

  • Kicking Darkonda out after being brainwashed evil again, Astronema called herself the princess of darkness.

  • Dark Specter told Astronema, "The time has come to complete my master plan, Astronema. Summon all of my evil forces. They must all unite to finally take over the universe."
  • The expanse of Dark Specter's "evil forces" is unknown; it may have included only Astronema, Rita, Zedd, Divatox, and the Machine Empire; it may have included all of the villains that had attended his banquet in 601-FON1; or it may have included far more villains never mentioned.
  • Soon afterward, the Machine Empire received "the order" (probably from Elgar for Astronema), and they had already prepared their forces for what Mondo called the biggest battle the universe had ever seen.
  • In a huge chamber of the Dark Fortress, Astronema addressed a huge army of Quantrons: "When we're finished, there will be no 'good' left in the universe. No 'love', no 'happiness!' Only chaos, anger, greed! Fight strong, and destroy all the forces of goodness, especially the Power Rangers! Go now, and spread the wrath of Dark Specter!!"
  • Organized by Astronema, Divatox would conquer Gratha, the Machine Empire would conquer Phantom Ranger's home planet and KO-35, Rita and Zedd would conquer the defenseless Vica galaxy, and Astronema would conquer Earth.
  • The armies of the various villains were quite mixed in composition, with each villain's army containing vast numbers of monsters previously used by other villains.
  • Astronema told Zordon it was the end of his era and the beginning of hers.
  • Listing villains that were attacking all over, Andros mentioned Dark Specter, Astronema, Divatox, and Rita and Zedd.
  • Cassie was bewildered to see that Rita and Zedd were attacking the defenseless Vica Galaxy, as though it were not a common practice for the forces of evil to invade unprotected galaxies.
  • Zhane was surprised to realize the villains were trying to conquer the whole universe, and Andros agreed with the sentiment.
  • Soon after Dark Specter had been destroyed, a hologram of Ecliptor's head appeared in the sky above each of the villain armies on the various planets, and he spoke, "Dark Specter is no more. Astronema, princess of evil, is now your supreme leader. It is for her that we fight, and for her we will conquer the universe! Good will be destroyed, and evil will rule."
  • After Ecliptor's speech, his face was replaced by Astronema's, looking down on her armies, and the villains began to bow in reverence.
  • On Gratha, Divatox was frantically outraged, wanting them all to "pray" to her rather than Astronema, as they were working for her.
  • Proudly astonished on the Dark Fortress, Astronema had trouble believing she really was the supreme leader now, but Ecliptor told her the universe was now at her beck and call, now calling her his queen.

  • Shortly, Astronema told the people of Earth, not necessarily speaking the truth, that the rest of the universe had surrendered; Zhane would later verify that the Rebels had surrendered.
  • The next Earth morning, Zordon seriously told Andros there was not much time, as the forces of evil had already captured most of the universe; soon, he said, they would capture the Earth.
  • Zordon told Andros that to stop it from happening, Andros must shatter his energy tube; only the good energy from his tube, he explained, could destroy the forces of evil.
  • Andros insisted that they'd keep fighting and there had to be another way, but Zordon firmly replied that there was no other way.
  • A wave of gold energy from Zordon's destruction radiated outward from the Dark Fortress near Earth as a ring of energy which spread throughout the universe.
  • When the wave passed over the armies of evil, they were dissolved into piles of sand, with the exception of a few villains who were purified into human forms.
  • Aside from all of the monsters and foot soldiers in the armies of Rita, Zedd, Divatox, Astronema, and the Machine Empire, other destroyed villains included General Havoc, Mondo, Machina, Squatt, and Elgar, and presumably Finster, Goldar, Sprocket, Klank, Orbus, Rygog, and Porto as well; the full extent of the energy wave's effects is uncertain.

  • A sage named Jera explained to an audience on Mirinoi that the five Quasar Sabers would remain trapped in their stone until those worthy among them could release them and harness their powers to transform into mighty champions, guaranteeing peace and the triumph of good.

  • When the Scorpion Stinger approached Terra Venture on its flight, Commander Stanton warned everyone of the approaching alien ship and had them enter secured areas, telling them it wasn't a drill; people began fleeing inside buildings immediately after the word of an alien ship approaching, as though they were quite familiar with the possibility of an alien threat on their voyage.

  • Extremely weakened from his fight with Orion-armored Leo, Treacheron staggered forward with his broken stub of a sword, still attempting to fight; he told Red Ranger, "You stand for everything I hate: goodness, honesty, decency. I will destroy you even if it takes every last ounce of my being to do so!"

  • In the Onyx Tavern, where years ago there had been assorted villains, there were now numerous aliens, animal-based past monsters, and mutated humans (see "Onyx" for further details).
  • Deviot introduced Scorpius as the ruler of the universe, but Scorpius would then suffer a fatal blow at the hands of the Red Galaxy Ranger.
  • Word spread almost instantaneously to Kegler on Onyx that Scorpius had been in an awful battle and was in bad shape.
  • The dying Scorpius, asked who could possibly match his wisdom in ruling the universe, planned for Deviot to carry on his legacy with the new powers contained within his cocoon, but Trakeena suddenly arrived just in time.
  • Scorpius told Trakeena the universe would be hers with the powers he passed on to her, and he dissolved into energy, leaving her with a slightly modified staff.

  • Preparing to throw Red Galaxy Ranger Leo into a vortex, Trakeena said the news of his destruction would strike fear throughout the universe, and they would tremble when they heard her name.

  • In Trakeena's lair, Villamax had apparently introduced the subject of Loyax; Deviot called him a washed-up old warrior, but Villamax regarded him as an honorable legend.
  • Loyax had won battles in every corner of the universe, according to Villamax; for centuries, he said, the name Loyax had inspired fear.
  • Having been brought in to meet Trakeena, Loyax bowed to his "lovely queen Trakeena," and she soon accepted his wish for one final battle, offering him a battle with the Power Rangers, which he concluded would be a glorious ending indeed.
  • Loyax bore the symbol of Barbarax on his stomach.
  • Knowing of his honor, Maya insisted that Loyax didn't have to fight, as he wasn't on the villains' side, but he replied that she was too young to understand, explaining that many centuries ago, he had been a young warrior just like Maya, having done battle with his heart in the name of good; a flashback showed him striking a Barillian Bug monster on a mountainside.
  • Loyax had found the power of evil to be too strong and widespread and had finally been defeated; eventually, he'd become part of the evil he'd so despised.

  • After Deviot had obtained the Psycho Rangers' data cards, Kegler had thought the Psychos had been destroyed, but Deviot angrily explained they'd merely been digitized.
  • Confronted by the Red Space and Galaxy Rangers, Trakeena was giddy, thinking she would go down in history for destroying two Red Rangers.

  • Considering the ten Rangers, Trakeena believed that if she were to destroy them all, she would take her place as queen of the universe.

  • The night after Kendrix's death, Trakeena and crew watched as the four Rangers flew into space after the missing Quasar Saber.
  • Knowing news about the saber would travel fast in the underworld, Trakeena sent Villamax to check for rumors, and he knew exactly where it would end up; presumably he thought of Onyx before Deviot obtained the same information from Runtus on Gwinnet.
  • Soon after finding the Quasar Saber in his field on Gwinnet, the short humanoid Runtus had sent or taken it to an auction on Onyx, as he disclosed to the interrogating Deviot; learning this, Deviot sent word to Trakeena by way of Ironite.
  • Enticing bids for a silver laser cannon at the Onyx auction, the auctioneer said certainly this weapon that had belonged to Tahaga the Great was worth more; thinking it still worked, the auctioneer accidentally shot a red laser beam which shattered a bar patron's drink, prompting a bid of 250 Zanabatars.
  • The crown jewel of the Onyx auction was "the Pink Ranger's Quasar Saber"; such wording implied that the Galaxy Rangers of Terra Venture were generally accepted as the preeminent Ranger force in the region.

  • Trakeena was ready to destroy Captain Mutiny's castle the moment it and Terra Venture emerged from the Lost Galaxy portal; how she had been there immediately is unknown, but it apparently had nothing to do with Terra Venture, as suggested in 743-End1.
  • Destroying the castle and apparently Mutiny inside, Trakeena spoke, "There's only one ruler in this universe, and that's me."

  • Slowly going insane from merging with Deviot, Trakeena shouted to her Stingwingers as she prepared to finish off Terra Venture, "Today, I, the great Trakeena, shall finally defeat all that is good, and take my place, which I so truly deserve, as ruler of the universe! Let history unfold!"

  • Entering her lair after blowing up the Stratoforce and Centaurus Megazords, the elated (but insane) Trakeena said she was queen of the world (?), as she'd destroyed two Megazords.

  • After realizing the people of Terra Venture had actually landed on Mirinoi, Maya observed that all the legends had been right; they had been chosen, and with the Quasar Sabers, they'd defeated the forces of evil, referring to Trakeena and perhaps Scorpius or even others.

  • Among the monsters in the Shadow World's underground tomb were monsters used by Rita, Astronema, Scorpius, and the demons, as well as many other unrecognizable monsters; Diabolico's spirit would also apparently reside within the Shadow World.
  • Learning of Bansheera's plan, Ryan would recount that Bansheera planned to resurrect all the "demons" from the Shadow World.

  • Despite her purification in 643-CTD2, Rita was apparently among the assorted monsters in the Shadow World's underground tomb.
  • The Shadow World also included monsters present (and apparently destroyed) in the invasion of 643-CTD2.
  • In the Shadow World, there appeared to be neither foot soldiers (such as Putties, Tengas, Stingwingers, etc.) nor robots (the nearest being the eletronic demon Shockatron).

  • According to narration, peace and justice reign a thousand years in the future. Thanks to the brave legion of the Time Force Police, the streets had been cleared of every criminal, except for Ransik.

    MMPR: The Movie

  • As Hornitor and Scorpitron, giant robot creatures, were attacking Angel Grove, a reporter said that Angel Grove had never before known such a crisis, then asked, "Where are the Power Rangers?"
