701-QsQ1

  • In the jungle of Mirinoi, the five Quasar Sabers were embedded in a multi-tiered slab of stone.
  • An old Mirinoite sage named Jera addressed an attentive and pleased Mirinoite audience sitting before him as he walked behind the sabers' rock.
  • Jera had white hair and a beard and wore a brown robe similar in style to the clothing of his fellow Mirinoites, who also wore brown-colored simple jungle clothing.
  • Right after Jera had begun explaining the origin of the Quasar Sabers, a teen boy and Maya ran up giggling from beyond the audience's right side and took a seat in the rear to listen attentively, though some people were occasionally chattering excitedly amongst each other.
  • Against a tree beside which Maya and the boy had run was a tribal face carving, and beyond that was a pond.
  • Jera's story was as follows: "3,000 years ago, these five Quasar Sabers were placed here. And here they shall remain until those of you who can prove yourselves worthy release them, and harness their mighty powers! Transforming them into mighty champions, guaranteeing peace and the triumph of good!"
  • Jera then had a long line of people proceed, one by one, to pull on a Quasar Saber, but none could make it budge from the rock, disappointing the Mirinoites each time.
  • Among the anticipatory crowd were people of all ages, hair colors, and races.
  • Among the people who attempted to pull the saber was a teenaged girl with long black wavy hair; as she gave up, she, Maya, and the crowd were disappointed as usual.
  • Stingwingers suddenly leapt in, making the crowd panic, and a man, perhaps Jera, told everybody to run.
  • As people ran and the Stingwingers accosted a few people, a frightened Jera stood in front of the Quasar Saber rock in an attempt to protect them.
  • Nearby was a wooden wheel presumably to a carriage of some sort, and as more people were accosted, thatch huts were in the background as a few fires could be seen.
  • In the small hut village, Furio walked in past a fire with his sword over his shoulder.
  • Meanwhile, Maya struggled briefly and ran away from some Stingwingers, not yet seeing Furio, although some people did.
  • All around the hut village were tribal totem faces and poles.
  • After walking up to the Quasar Sabers' stone, Furio declared, "Finally, the Quasar Sabers will be mine!" and attempted to pull out the rightmost saber, but it wouldn't budge.
  • When asked who she was by the four GSA teens after he'd ended up on Earth's moon by falling through a portal, Maya gave her name and said her home was the planet Mirinoi, or what was left of it.

    702-QsQ2

  • Some time later, Stingwingers held captives near the Quasar Sabers' stone, with Jera closest, and Furio ordered him to tell him how to release the sabers or he'd destroy the whole planet.
  • Jera told Furio he would never release them, as he wasn't chosen, and as Furio prepared to strike with his sword for Jera's insolence, Maya leapt in and was soon joined by Leo, Mike, and Kendrix, then Kai and Damon as well from the other direction, astonishing the crowd each time.
  • The six teens fought Stingwingers, none of them doing very well; facing Furio, Mike lost his gun and was kicked back against the saber rock.
  • As Furio, tired of toying with him, prepared to strike, Mike, in one quick move, pulled out the center (Lion) saber and struck Furio's blow; with a spark explosion from his sword, Furio flew back.
  • Mike was shocked, and Jera stood speechless.
  • Maya and the others, except Leo, joined Mike by the sabers; getting up, Furio wanted Mike's sword, but the four teens instead attempted to pull the remaining sabers after Kendrix had asked Mike if they should.
  • At once, the four pulled out their sabers with a brief blade glow of Ranger-colored energy, astonishing the crowd and Jera.
  • Maya was awed that they'd been chosen.
  • Furio declared that if he couldn't have the Quasar Sabers, no one would, and plunged his sword glowing with red electricity into the ground, beginning an expanding chain reaction which proceeded to turn everything and everyone in its path to stone.
  • Just before turning to stone, Jera yelled for Maya to run, and the others hurried her away from the approaching wave.
  • Running from the wave, the teens passed a pond with a canoe in it.
  • The wave eventually covered the entire planet, having turned everything to stone.
  • Maya explained in awe that the Quasar Sabers had been put in the rock 3,000 years ago, and a flashback showed a broad blue beam from above the jungle causing the sabers to materialize in the stone with yellow electricity; at the time, there had been a tribal mask decoration in the background of the jungle.
  • Maya said that every warrior in the galaxy had tried and failed to free the sabers, yet the only people shown in the flashback appeared to be Mirinoites.

    703-RTTR

  • On Terra Venture, Maya was the only Ranger teen able to hear the distant howling of a Galactabeast (the Wolf) in peril on another planet, yet birds around Maya scattered in reaction to the sound.
  • Maya was also the only teen capable of understanding the Galactabeasts' growls.

    709-MagD

  • 3,000 years ago, Magna Defender had stumbled up a mountainous cliff (later revealed to be on Mirinoi) holding an old, tiny chest with a key in it, which he opened, releasing the Lights of Orion (or perhaps a fake) and allowing them to slowly fly into the air.
  • Treacheron had been sent (presumably by Scorpius) to destroy the weakened Magna Defender; during their clash on the cliff, an apparently long-distance slash from Treacheron had sent Magna Defender sparking and falling into a crevice in the ground.

    710-Sunf

  • On Mirinoi, the Mirinoites had sunflower statues on their temple gates, as it was believed the flowers held the secrets of the universe.

    712-ORis

  • After Maya had innocently eaten a birthday cake Kendrix had made for Damon, Kendrix yelled that maybe in the jungle, people ate whatever they wanted, but here they asked first; Maya retorted that in the jungle, people were happy to share.
  • Maya's exclamation of surprise upon hitting an invisible forcefield in the city was, "What in star blazes was that?"
  • The Mirinoites didn't celebrate birthdays.
  • Apparently using some form of precognition after the Lights of Orion had flown into space, Maya said the Lights were out there somewhere, and some day they would be back.

    713-ORet

  • One night after a dream, Maya walked up to a window and said, "There," a few seconds before the Lights of Orion would fly by.

    714-ShAt

  • After a battle in which he thought he'd heard Mike's voice, Leo was alone in the guys' room when Maya came in; he told her to save her breath if she'd come to tell him that he'd only been dreaming about Mike, as he knew what he'd heard.
  • On the contrary, Maya admitted she'd first thought the voices had been in his imagination, but she was now sensing something in the air that she couldn't explain, and she too thought Mike was alive.

    715-RDay

  • As Leo was driving her through an exterior tunnel of Terra Venture, Maya had distractedly them stop, and the Scorpion Stinger suddenly appeared and attacked, demonstrating yet another instance of Maya's precognition.

    719-LGb1

  • In a jungle environment shortly before Deviot would attack with three evil Zords, Maya urgently came up to a clearing where the Galactabeasts were standing; when she asked what it was, the Galactabeasts all made their various growls, and Maya replied worriedly that she sensed it too.

    720-LGb2

  • When the evil Stratoforce Megazord landed downtown for a second attack on Terra Venture, Maya, elsewhere, suddenly knew the evil Zords were coming.

    721-Heir

  • After Scorpius's destruction, Maya, in the park, was suddenly alert as an eerie whooshing seemed to go past, and she told the teens that someone even more evil than Scorpius had taken his place; indeed, Scorpius had just passed on his powers to Trakeena.

    723-MMir

  • In the park, Maya gingerly scaled a tree and retrieved a stuck kitten, reassuring it; before she returned the kitten to its owner, the kitten squeaked, and she replied, "I know," and told the girl he said he'd never do it again.
  • In the park on Terra Venture, Maya saw her old friend Shondra walking confidently and happily along the street below, wearing a brown, leathery version of Maya's yellow outfit she'd obtained on Terra Venture.
  • "Shondra" was actually the monster Rykon in disguise, but seeming to possess all of Shondra's childhood memories from Mirinoi.
  • In a flashback, teenaged Maya and Shondra were running giggling through the Mirinoi jungle, then it flashed back to them as pre-teen girls in the same yellow and brown respective outfits, but without the boots.
  • In the present, Maya said she'd been so worried, asking how she'd escaped Furio's attack.
  • During a flashback of Shondra fleeing amongst the chaos of Furio's attack, Shondra said the entire village had been fleeing for their lives; she'd dived between some rocks to hide and had run when people had begun turning to stone.
  • Shondra had supposedly been running when a portal to a city scene had suddenly opened in front of her; she didn't know what had happened after that, but she'd somehow ended up on Terra Venture.
  • As the girls walked laughing elsewhere, Shondra recalled the time they'd to pull the Quasar Sabers, and Maya laughed with her.
  • Sitting beside a small campfire beside the sabers' stone in a red robe, the sage Jera spoke to young Maya and young Shondra; he told them the five Quasar Sabers had been placed there over three thousand years ago, and someday they would find the men who would find the courage to extricate them.
  • Later, alone, the two girls had been trying to pull the sabers; Maya had tried to pull the Pink Ranger's saber, and Shondra the Blue Ranger's.
  • Young Maya had thought her saber had budged; in the present, Maya laughed that they'd pulled until they had blisters.
  • In Kendrix and Kai's meal which they hoped would be like something the girls ate on Mirinoi, one of the dishes was a toss salad, and vines were draped along the walls as decoration.
  • To sleep in the girls' GSA dorm, Maya offered Shondra her hammock, saying she was fine on the floor, but they both took the floor, intentionally ignoring the two available bunk beds in the room.
  • Someday Maya knew she would find Mirinoi again and bring everything back to life; Kendrix said someday she would get to meet the real Shondra.

    726-MWhM

  • In the forest, Leo walked up to a tree where Maya stood happily listening to the growls of giant Wolf Galactabeast above, excitedly listening to a story he was telling in growls.
  • Leo was amazed, asking how she could understand them; she replied that it wasn't that hard, saying he had to listen to his heart, adding that the Galactabeasts spoke feelings, not words.
  • After repeated failures with the Wolf, Leo was later able to understand the Lion Galactabeast.

    738-USun

  • According to Leo, Furio had turned all of Mirinoi to stone.

    742-EsLG

  • Trakeena was ready to destroy Mutiny's castle the moment it and Terra Venture emerged from the Lost Galaxy portal; how she had been there immediately is unknown, but it apparently had nothing to do with Terra Venture, as suggested in 743-End1.

    743-End1

  • A bit later, Trakeena was pleased to notice that Terra Venture was back; she may have been in the area because of Mirinoi, which had apparently exited the Lost Galaxy at some point.
  • When asked if he had any ideas where they could land, Stanton brought up a monitor display of a planet within reach, what would later be revealed to be Mirinoi.
  • Mirinoi was now shown to be a bright green planet with white cloud wisps and a rocky gray (insanely close) moon, though the planet had not previously been shown with clouds or a moon.
  • Stanton said they'd just received the first aerial images from the probe, showing beautifully tranquil images of lush forest lands with great amounts of water.
  • In 702-QsQ2, all of Mirinoi had been stone, including the land and flora, yet now everything but Maya's former fellow villagers (and a bit of their camp), as would be shown in 745-End3, was back to normal.
  • Stanton said much about the planet looked very familiar: oxygen atmosphere, water, and carbon-based plant life, the essentials for life as they knew it.
  • Maya didn't recognize the New World as being her homeworld.
  • Terra Venture, crippled by the Scorpion Stinger the next morning, crashed on Mirinoi's moon, wrenching the city dome apart from the destroyed lower portion.

    744-End2

  • The rubble of the demolished Centaurus and Stratoforce Megazords would soon litter the moon nearby.
  • The explosion of the Megaship would send the Scorpion Stinger crashing against the moon not too far from the city dome's location, and Leo would crash his Jet Jammer near that.
  • Sixteen shuttles from Terra Venture flew down to Mirinoi, where they soon landed vertically; their settlement for some reason happened to be near Maya's old Mirinoite village.
  • With some supplies out, Terra Venture citizens joyously reunited in the forest clearing.

    745-End3

  • The colonists were soon carrying things around in a new settlement, with numerous yellow dome-shaped tents.
  • People in the settlement soon watched the sky anxiously as the roaring city dome approached.
  • People ran screaming in the direction the city dome was traveling as re-entry flames came off the hull.
  • A flag in the area may have borne the Terra Venture logo.
  • Suddenly, the Galaxy Megazord rose up and nodded right in front of the Rangers in the front tunnel, redirecting and slowing the city dome.
  • The city dome flew over a hillside into a valley and crashed with an earthshaking explosion.
  • As the debris settled, the people in the camp rose and looked anxiously at where the city dome had impacted.
  • Suddenly, a beast roared, and the five Galactabeasts emerged from the smoke with the Rangers on their heads, and everyone cheered joyously.
  • When the Rangers leapt down, everyone rushed forward to congratulate them; after shaking hands with someone, morphed Maya looked up as the Wolf growled down to her, and Leo joined her.
  • The Galactabeasts walked away, and Maya said they wanted them to follow them; she and Leo ran off into the jungle, followed by the other three.
  • Without helmets, the Rangers followed Maya as she pressed through the jungle and came upon a region filled with stone people covered by vines.
  • Maya removed the vines and was stunned to see it was Jera, realizing they'd landed on Mirinoi.
  • After realizing the people of Terra Venture had actually landed on Mirinoi, Maya observed that all the legends had been right; they had been chosen, and with the Quasar Sabers, they'd defeated the forces of evil, referring to Trakeena and perhaps Scorpius or even others.
  • The legend had said that only the chosen five could remove the Quasar Sabers, and when Furio had turned the people of Mirinoi to stone, Maya said, it had become the teens' destiny to set things right.
  • Wishing they could have saved Mirinoi, Maya uncovered the sabers' stone and drew her Quasar Saber, telling it, "Our quest is complete. Maybe someday the next chosen warriors will free you."; until that time, she thrust the saber into its spot in the stone, and the other four did the same.
  • The red hinge gems on the Quasar Sabers glowed, and a winding trail of gold sparkles emerged from each saber's handle, and the Rangers demorphed.
  • The sabers continued to shine, and the now bluish-white streaks continued to fly around the stone people.
  • All of the people, tikis, and a hut were stone, but all of the plant life was alive, and birds had been chirping all along; nearby, a pond, canoe, duck, and earth at the duck's edge of the pond were gray stone, but the surrounding brush at a nearby water edge, as well as the opposite shore, were not stone.
  • When a streak of sparkles flew into the stone pond, it generated an expanding radius of real water.
  • A streak flew past a stone boy, flinging off a few vines on him and bringing him back to life, as well as the stone hut behind him.
  • Another streak flew by Jera, restoring him and the hut behind him.
  • Maya delightedly called out Jera's name in amazement, and he hugged her, pleased, after regaining his bearings; by now, everyone and everything were back to normal.
  • Leo suddenly called their attention to an area of blue light streaks, from which Kendrix's ghosly image walked smiling, and she became solid as the light faded.
  • Kendrix beamed happily, "I knew you'd make it here."; shocked, Maya ran and hugged Kendrix, saying she didn't know how many times she'd wished she would come back.
  • Kendrix happily told Maya she'd missed her, and the teens, minus Karone, hugged her happily.
  • Kendrix thanked Karone for everything she'd done, and Karone said she wouldn't have missed it for the world.
  • Nearby, the Galactabeasts stood watching a fireworks display in the sky above them.
  • The former inhabitants of Terra Venture would presumably integrate with the Mirinoites.

    821-TrR1

  • Perhaps the year after Terra Venture's voyage, it was pouring and storming one night on Mirinoi as Leo walked through the jungle and effortlessly pulled his Quasar Saber from the stone.
  • Leo was wearing the same clothes he'd worn through the latter portion of Terra Venture's voyage, and the other teens would be wearing their same clothes as well, with Kendrix and Kai in their GSA uniforms and Damon in his Terra Venture coveralls.
  • Nearby was a city which may have been the rebuilt city dome or perhaps a pre-existing Mirinoite city.
  • In the rain, at least three Ghouls with glowing yellowish eyes under their black cloaks were walking through a street perhaps after crossing a bridge; they were apparently joined by a few more, for a total of at least seven.
  • Red Ranger ran through the city and confronted the Ghouls with his Quasar Saber, startling them; occasional flashes of lightning would briefly illuminate Red Ranger and the Ghouls.
  • The Ghouls charged, and Red Ranger did as well, fighting and slashing them with sparks.
  • At a heigher location, the demonic Triskull stepped up and watched.
  • A Ghoul and Red struck each other at the same time, both sparking, but the Ghoul would appear okay, while Red fell to the ground, stunned briefly.
  • The Ghouls shrank into two gleaming balls of blue light and flew up into the sky.
  • Laughing, Triskull crackled into an energy structure of three purple lights in a spinning triangle formation with accompanying misty streaks, and he flew into the sky with the Ghouls.
  • Rising, Red Ranger shouted "Wait! Come back! No!" in frustration as the three streaks vanished up into the sky.
  • Seeing the Quasar Saber in Leo's hand on Earth, Yellow Lightspeed Ranger Kelsey suddenly realized, "Hey! You're Leo! The Red Ranger!"
  • Leo told the Lightspeed teens he'd come "all the way from Mirinoi," indicating a long distance between the planets.
  • Morphed Kai and Maya would then arrive in Mariner Bay, having pulled their Quasar Sabers.
  • Leo told the Lightspeed teens they'd known they needed help with Trakeena.

    822-TrR2

  • On Mirinoi as the storm continued, Damon and Kendrix simultaneously pulled the two remaining Quasar Sabers.
  • Confronted by Trakeena on Earth, Damon and Kendrix were shocked, as though they were unfamiliar with the possibility of Trakeena's return.
  • As the teens stood together as Trakeena's hostages were freed following her destruction, the Galaxy teens stood unmorphed in public view, as unconcerned about their identities as the Lightspeed Rangers were.
  • Leo thought it had been kind of fun getting back in the action.
  • When Dana asked if the Galaxy teens could stay for a while, saying Mariner Bay could use another team of Rangers, Kai looked consideringly to Leo, but Kendrix happily told them they'd love to, but they were needed back on Mirinoi, and Maya nodded.

  • According to the Fox Kids website, the Mirinoites were "a mystical tribe that once thrived on a distant planet; furthermore, it said that Maya's "wild spirit and closeness with nature" gave her the ability "to understand people and everything around her."
