Revisiting Power Rangers is a project which compares the video of the original airings of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with that of the reversioned ones which aired on ABC Kids in 2010. For the most part, we leave it to the fan to make their own (educated) decisions on whether the changes are improvements or not.

In 1993, two astronauts encountered a space dumpster on a rogue planetoid during the day; in 2010, two astronauts encountered a space dumpster on the moon at night; also of note - TV ratings didn’t exist in 1993 and close-captioning was much more uncommon.
Cartoony lightning graphics and 3D effects highlight Rita’s escape.
Very much nighttime on the moon, which may be best for the now 15+ year old sentai footage.
Should the Earth be brighter in the Moon’s night sky? Ask your favorite astronomer.
The original shot of Alpha pushing a red button is from the episode “Day of the Dumpster”; the new shot of Alpha pushing buttons is not from the episode “Day of the Dumpster”.

A slightly different cut of Billy’s first fight with the Putties.

The newer choice for a shot of the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord is clearer...
...but the older choice for a shot of the Mastodon Dinozord was clearer.
Ranger cast screen. Honestly, not a bad change; except the fact that Jason Frank is the only one whose name isn’t in ALL CAPS.
Another cast screen. Not sure about the skull and crossbones as a choice for a background.
A change in the shot of Zordon that is used.
While the old shot of action figure Green Ranger on Dragonzord’s head was always somewhat odd, the new shot isn’t very clear at all.
The grainy Megazord Tank Mode + Colors shot.
The choice to outline the font makes it more readable.
